Position Summary  
As a Marketing Intern, you will support the execution of day-to-day marketing operations while gaining exposure to a variety of marketing activities across the organization. In this role, you will assist with administrative tasks, support property-level marketing needs, and contribute to the company’s overall brand presence and performance.


This is an exciting opportunity for a student to gain hands-on marketing experience in a dynamic property management environment, with exposure to both residential and self-storage property management. You will build skills and knowledge in areas such as reputation management, vendor coordination, and digital marketing, as well as contribute to Team 11’s growth and market positioning.

What you'll be doing 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Marketing team, assisting with day-to-day tasks, coordination, and project execution.
  • Support reputation management efforts, including monitoring and responding to online reviews, tracking customer feedback, and maintaining brand voice across platforms (e.g., Google, Yelp, ApartmentRatings, social media, etc.).
  • Assist with managing internal marketing requests through Zendesk, gaining experience with workflows, communication standards, and prioritization.
  • Help track and manage marketing specials and concessions, ensuring accuracy across platforms.
  • Help prepare marketing materials, maintain marketing supplies, and support departmental needs.
Gaining Exposure and Learning:
  • Gain exposure to a variety of marketing functions through team meetings and regular working sessions to support requests, ongoing priorities, and regional team communications.
  • Participate in vendor relations, report and market data reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Develop a working knowledge of marketing campaigns across digital, social media, email, content, and traditional channels, and apply that knowledge through hands-on tasks and coordination.
  • Build working knowledge of marketing audits including internet advertising channels, property websites, ILS, and other online platforms.
  • Develop a foundational understanding of multi-family and self-storage marketing through hands-on experience.
  • Actively contribute to a positive team environment and take on additional projects as needed.
General Responsibilities:
  • Work on-site at the 11 Capital HQ in Kirkland. This role is not eligible for remote work.
  • Occasionally travel to local properties to support marketing activities including photography and delivering physical marketing materials.
Education and Qualifications 
  • Must be currently enrolled or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field from a college or university.
  • Previous internship, coursework, or project experience in marketing is a plus.
  • Interest in the real estate and property management industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
  • Exposure to Adobe Creative Suite or similar design tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative thinker with a willingness to learn and contribute new ideas.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Positive attitude with a focus on teamwork, growth, and customer service.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. 
  • Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license.  
  • This role is an on-site role and not eligible for remote work.
Compensation    
  • The base compensation range for this position is $22 per hour. 
  • Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.    
Job Type
  •  This role is 24 hours per week and we are seeking availability for three set weekdays. However, the role can be flexible to align with academic schedules if necessary.
  • This is an internship that will be available for 3 to 6 months, and the time frame will be agreed upon at the point of offer.
  • In-person at 11 Capital’s HQ in Kirkland, with potential for occasional travel to properties.

To successfully perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must be able to:    
  • Perform work in a professional office environment.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.   
  • Regularly required to sit, and to move about the various work environments to train, monitor and ensure compliance with all company requirements.    
  • Verbally communicate with employees, co-workers and customers in person and by phone.Travel to various worksites that may require overnight stays, flights, and/or prolonged travel in a vehicle.
